Apps / Bills and invoicesBeta
Find the bills you’d otherwise miss.
Duebox reads the bills you forward from your email, puts what’s due on one dashboard, reminds you before anything is late, and sends invoices to the people who owe you.
What it does
Duebox
- 01
Forward it, or set a filter once
Every account gets its own forwarding address. Forward a bill by hand, or follow the step-by-step guide to a Gmail filter that sends bills there as they arrive.
- 02
Bills read for you
Claude reads the email and any PDF or image attached, then pulls out the payee, amount, due date, autopay and the last four digits of the account. Receipts, shipping updates and newsletters are set aside.
- 03
You check before it counts
Nothing becomes a bill until you add it. Each one shows a confidence score and how it reached you, every field can be corrected, and a low score tells you to look twice.
- 04
Bills that don’t show up
Once a bill has come regularly, Duebox knows when the next one is due. If it hasn’t arrived, the dashboard says so, with the usual amount, so a paper bill or a missed email doesn’t go unnoticed.
- 05
Reminders that add up
One digest a day at most, by email or phone notification, listing what’s due within the days you choose, due today, or up to three days late. Autopay bills are left out, and no reminder is sent twice.
- 06
Invoices from the same place
Line items, tax and due dates, emailed to your client from your name, with replies going straight to you. Overdue invoices get a reminder in one click, and what you’re owed sits next to what you owe.
Under the hood
- App
- Next.js 16 and React 19 on Vercel, installable as a web app
- Data
- Postgres on Neon, through Drizzle ORM
- Reading bills
- The Claude API with structured output, including PDF and image attachments
- Sign-in
- One-time email links that expire in 15 minutes; sessions and links are stored only as hashes
- Privacy
- Bills keep only the last four digits of an account. Attachments aren’t stored, and an email’s text is deleted once you add or dismiss it
- Status
- Beta. Automatic bill reading and text reminders are built but not switched on yet, so forwarded bills are filled in by hand for now, and invoices have no online payment
